A Message From Mrs. Carmody A Message From Mrs. Carmody

Dear Fremont Families,

It has been a joy to watch our students embrace the winter weather this week. From snowy recesses to the excitement during arrival, the kids have truly made the most of the season. Thank you for sending them in LABELED proper gear. Having warm coats, hats, and gloves makes all the difference in ensuring they can play safely and comfortably.

I also want to extend my sincere thanks for your patience regarding transportation. Snowy roads naturally slow things down, and our bus drivers have been working hard to navigate the conditions safely. We appreciate your understanding with the minor delays as we prioritize the safety of every student on their way to and from school.

Sincerely,

Beth Carmody

Principal

Students from Mrs. Duitsman's class are bringing colorful ostriches to life! By layering patterned paper strips, students are exploring texture and collage to build their feathered friends. It is wonderful to see each student’s unique personality shine through in these wide-eyed creations.

Please reach out to your child’s teacher or principal if you have questions about their current or future educational programming. Any request for grade level or subject acceleration for the 2026-2027 school year needs to be submitted to your child’s current principal before April 1, 2026.

From the Nurse Dana ... From the Nurse Dana ...

It is that time of year when we are seeing an increase in illness in all of Lake County. To help prevent the spread of illness, we would like to give you some guidelines to help with your decision on whether or not to send your child to school.

    • Excessive tiredness or lack of appetite

    • Headaches, body aches, ear aches

    • Severe sore throat (could be strep throat even without fever. Children often experience headache & stomach ache prior to sore throat). Contact your pediatrician to assess or diagnose strep throat.

If you child has recently been ill, please be aware of the following guidelines before having your child return to school, athletic or social activities:

  • Be free of fever, vomiting and/or diarrhea for at least 24 hours (without fever reducing medication).

And remember—healthy students learn best. If your child is sick with fever, vomiting, or diarrhea, please keep them home until they’re well.
