January 2026 Newsletter
Dear LMS Families,
Welcome back to a brand new year at LMS! We hope everyone had a wonderful, restful break, and we wish our students, families, and staff a very Happy New Year! January brings a fresh start, renewed energy, and exciting opportunities for learning and growth. As we return to school, students are encouraged to reflect on their progress, set new goals, and end the semester with focus and enthusiasm. It’s hard to believe we are already nearly halfway through the school year! Please remember that January 16th marks the end of the first semester, making this an important time to stay motivated and finish strong. We encourage families to stay connected by regularly checking ParentVUE, and for students to monitor their progress in StudentVUE as we begin 2026 together.

Assistant Principals Corner
Hello LMS Families,
I hope everyone was able to enjoy the Holiday season and get some much needed rest. We are excited to be back and to get students in their routine. We will be coming together in the next few weeks in our class meetings where we will continue to remind students of our high expectations here at LMS. This is a time where we talk about decision making, go over schoolwide discipline, and plan celebrations to recognize students who consistently make good choices. Please do not hesitate to speak to your students about these meetings and reinforce the message of good decision making.
We also go over field trip guidelines at our class meetings. The second half of the school year includes fun trips planned for all grade levels. I remind students that they have to be on their best behavior throughout the year in order to go. If they receive two major referrals, they are not able to go on a field trip. If a student receives 5 minor referrals throughout the school year, they are not able to go per administrative discretion. We do not have a lot of students who fall in this category, but unfortunately we have to have those conversations every year with a few. We look forward to continuing to move forward this school year with positive attitudes and as always, please do not hesitate to reach out if you ever need support. Thanks!
