Happy Labor Day Weekend...

Good morning!

I hope that your Labor Day weekend was a success and you are enjoying your Monday! I would like to thank all of our staff who does an incredible job making sure that each day is a great one for their colleagues and our students. It takes organization, dedication, and love to show up each day and seeing it in person is amazing. I would also like to thank everyone who takes time to come to all of our events that our students and coaches/sponsors have as well! Seeing the stand full makes me proud to be a HUSKY!

As we reflect on another week in the books and one that is coming ahead, it is important to ask what your WHY is. I feel very blessed to be working side by side with the best staff that a school can ask for. We have many dedicated individuals who put their heart on their sleeve and give all they can for those around them. As a dad, I appreciate it more than most will every realize so I want to make sure to take the time to thank everyone for their time. Whether that is a teacher, a principal, an administrative assistant, a cook, a paraprofessional, a janitorial staff member, a substitute teacher, a nurse, or/and a parent/guardian...you all are a part of our culture of SRC and your impact is seen each day.

Continue to be you and don't be afraid to ask for help if needed. I thank you again for everything you do for our students, each other, and our district!

Challenge this week: Being thankful for each day and reflecting on at least 5 positives at the end of the day.

Adults and children can now borrow 34,000 eBook’s, 25,000 audiobooks, and 3,000 magazines for FREE instantly. Anyone 17 years old or younger must have the consent of their parent/guardian to use the Nebraska Overdrive (libbyapp.com). This subscription is paid by the Shelby Community Library for our public library patrons and SRC students. Parent/guardian must stop by the Shelby Community Library and sign the Signature Sheet.

It is the responsibility of the parent/guardian to check and see what your child is reading. You will get your child’s password so you can see what the child/student is reading on their device.
