Welcome back to the building Paca Penguins! This has been such an unusual school year already and we are only a few weeks in. Your nurses are so happy to start having students back in the building! Each month we will be putting out a newsletter discussing various health and safety tips for our children. There are so many topics we can cover in a format like this and we are excited to be able to help connect our families with new resources!!

October is called Health awareness month. There are numerous health concerns that are highlighted during the month of October. Just about everyone is aware of the pink that is everywhere that highlights Breast Cancer Awareness during this month.

Did you know that October is also:

• Spina Bifida Awareness Month
• Dental Hygiene Awareness Month and
• Eczema Awareness Month

Well, we couldn't pick just one so check out the information on each one below!

Nurse O'Brien has been a school nurse for 26 years. She is a wonderful resource for her students and their parents. She will be working from home for a little bit longer this year but is looking forward to being back in the building with her students.
