We will hold our second dance of the school year tomorrow, Friday, January 30th from 6:00 pm-7:30 pm. This will be in the ADL Gym.

We ask that parents and guardians arrive promptly at 7:30 pm; it will be cold!

If there is a change to your child's dismissal plan, please notify the ADL office prior to 11:15 am. This cuts down on classroom disruptions as we hand out passes during lunch.

Due to a large volume of daily absence/tardy/early dismissals, we ask that you submit any absences through the absence form online the same day as the absence. If you want to submit a future absence for your child, please call the office or email adloffice@ewsd.org.

Please communicate any changes to after school dismissal plans directly with your student. If you are picking up early have your student check their phone in the main office.

The ADL Basketball Tournament is almost here. This will be the 54th year of the event. We begin Wednesday, February 18th, and finish with the two championship games on Saturday, February 21st. Although this is a basketball tournament, it is so much more of a community event! More specific details about the tournament, including the schedule, will be announced in the coming weeks.

New this year, Tournament Fan Apparel is available to purchase online using this link. We will not be selling t-shirts in person at the tournament. The fan store will close on Tuesday, February 3rd.

Purchases will be available for pick up during the tournament at the concession stand.

ADL Students have been working hard to put together an incredible 2025–2026 yearbook, and you won’t want to miss it! The yearbook is filled with photos, memories, and moments from the entire school year.

Jacob Law, a senior at Essex High School, is collecting personal care items for veterans in need at the Josh Pallotta Foundation. The drive will run until the end of January, and he is collecting the following new items:

• Body wash, shampoo, and conditioner
• Dental care products (toothbrushes/toothpaste)
• Deodorant
• Feminine hygiene products (tampons/pads),
• Hand soaps
• Lotion
• Tissues

Donations can be dropped off in the Main Office. Your generosity is greatly appreciated!
