Fun Run Information!
Now hiring!
We are looking to hire some Noon-Aides to help with lunches and recess at Ike. Come join an amazing team and work at Ike.
Red Flag!
When the red flag is hung outside our front doors, this means indoor line-up. Students only can enter the building thru the main door starting at 8:20 AM.
Parking Lot Safety!
Parking Lot Safety Reminder
Student safety is always our number one priority at Ike. Our parking lot is busy with young learners entering and exiting the building each day, and we ask for your continued help in keeping everyone safe.
There is no parking on the side of the building during dismissal, as students are exiting classrooms in this area.
Parents should park only in designated parking spots.
Please use sidewalks when walking to and from the building.
Thank you for your partnership in making sure our arrival and dismissal times remain safe for all of our students.
Birthday Celebrations!
Birthdays are special celebrations at any age, and we love recognizing our students on their big day! However, due to food allergies, dietary restrictions, and the need to maximize learning time, no food items will be allowed for birthday celebrations.
If students would like to bring something to share, they may bring a small, non-food item (such as stickers, pencils, or erasers). These items will be sent home with students at the end of the day.
Additionally, flowers, balloons, and other similar deliveries for students are not permitted at school.
We will continue to celebrate students’ birthdays in meaningful ways within the classroom to make their day special.
Thank you for helping us keep our learning environment safe, inclusive, and focused!
Dress Code
As a reminder, our dress code is a district policy, which is accessible as part of our Student Code of Conduct. The purpose of our dress code is to make sure that our students are dressed for learning success. Parents will be called to bring a change of clothing when students do not follow the district policy. Below are some of the most pertinent dress code guidelines. The following types of clothing are inappropriate for school and WILL NOT BE ALLOWED :
- Hats, caps, hoods, bandannas, or other head coverings
- See-through clothing or clothing that reveals students’ midriffs, bottoms, or undergarments
- Shorts, skirts and dresses shorter than the tip of the student’s index finger when arms are hanging down.
- Clothes or accessories displaying offensive words and symbols including those related to alcohol, illegal/controlled substances, tobacco products, weapons, sexual references and/or language disruptive to the educational process.
- Beach-type footwear with exposed toes that can be dangerous during recess play. Sandals with heel straps are allowed.
Breakfast / Lunch Information
The State of Michigan will provide a free breakfast and lunch for all students who want them through the end of September. We are currently awaiting a status update from the State regarding this program for the remainder of the 25-26 school year. Although not required, we do ask that families complete the Education Benefit Form located HERE. By doing so you help ensure the school receives additional funding.
Technology Agreements
Students will be receiving their iPad soon after the beginning of the school year. Technology Agreements need to be on file for all students before they receive their iPad and chargers. The current technology agreement on file will determine if students bring their iPads home or keeps it at school. Technology Agreements can be updated at any time if you would like to change your student’s opt-in/opt-out status.
If you have a kindergarten student, are new to Ike, or if you would like to change your students opt-out status, please fill out the Technology Agreement linked below. As a reminder, students will NOT receive an iPad without a completed technology agreement on file.
Students who have Technology Agreements that are Opt-Out will keep their iPad at school. No charger will be assigned as it will be charged at night at school. If your student is an Opt-In and you do not need a charger at home, please e-mail Mr. Sleziak and a charger will not be assigned to your student.
if you have any additional questions regarding student iPads, please email Mr. Sleziak, (paul.sleziak@fraserk12.org)

Count Day Updates
Tribal Affiliation
In Michigan, schools are required to collect certain student information, such as enrollment, demographics, and program participation, and share it with the Michigan Department of Education. This process is required by state and federal law and helps monitor publicly funded education programs.
A new rule in the State School Aid Act now requires schools to also collect information about students’ tribal affiliations. This change was developed with input from Tribal Nations in Michigan.
Starting this school year, families have the option to share tribal affiliation information. Sharing this information is completely voluntary.
The data will help strengthen communication with Tribal Nations and may allow schools to qualify for additional funding to better support Indigenous students.
If a family chooses to share this information, it will be protected under privacy laws such as FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act), which also prohibits discrimination.
If you would like to report your tribal affiliation, please complete this form by October 1. (Link: https://fraserk12.jotform.com/252335442152853)
