Conferences Coming Soon...

This trimester all fourth grade students will be having student-led conferences. In Room 12, we will have student-led conferences on Wednesday, February 15th from 3:45 - 7:00 PM and Thursday, February 16th from 3:45 – 7:00 PM. Students will be presenting their learning through a collection of trimester assessments and work samples from the last trimester. They will be highlighting strengths in their learning, demonstrating progress that has been made, and sharing goals for the remainder of the year.

I will be available during the student-led conferences to clarify any questions and will also hand out report cards at the conferences. Conferences will take about 15 – 20 minutes. Please indicate below which day works best for you or feel free to fill out the paper conference letter that will be included in the Friday folder.

This is a great opportunity for your child to take leadership of his or her learning. These student-led conferences are for the purpose of focusing on academic progress and growth. We look forward to sharing our trimester of learning with you.

Planetarium

On Wednesday, we visited the planetarium at Rock Bridge High School. We watched a video about the Forces of Nature in which we learned about volcanoes, earthquakes, and tornadoes. We also got the chance to see the star ball and discuss a few constellations that can currently be found in the night sky.

Black Bears in Missouri

On Thursday we had a few visitors from the Missouri Department of Conservation Department. They taught us all about the history and current status of the black bear population in the state of Missouri. It was very interesting and informative - Be sure to ask your child to tell you more...
