P.E. at Lower Campus
We are working on fun and engaging ways to help all students learn important directional skills such as left and right, front and back, inside and outside, side to side, under, and through. We encourage families to practice these skills at home as well, especially with our kindergarten and first grade students to help reinforce what we are learning in P.E.

Safety concerns and CREST
GLOBE families, we know things can get very busy during morning drop-off and afternoon pickup. We have to keep in mind, however, our CREST values during these times. Everyone is doing their best to ensure safe transitions. Let’s all be sure to demonstrate GLOBE’s core values along with a dose of patience.
Walker Door parents/guardians, be sure to hold your little ones’ hands as they’re crossing that busy intersection. Have them walk BESIDE you, not in front or behind. Thank you, please stay safe!

Dress-down Spirit Week next week
Upper Campus will be having a dress-down spirit week next week from Monday, December 15 to Friday, December 19.
Food drive EXTENDED until Tuesday, December 16
We are extending the food drive until Tuesday of next week. Students can bring their goods to the cafeteria when they arrive at school.
We encourage all Upper Campus parents, students, and staff to help others in our community overcome food insecurity by donating anything on the list (download the list here). Your involvement not only helps stock the pantry for families in need during the holiday season but also demonstrates the spirit of generosity and community that defines our school. We look forward to having a food drive at Lower Campus in the Spring!
Students can come straight to the cafeteria during morning carpool to drop off anything from the list. The Impact Owls will be there to sort the goods by grade level. The grade that brings in the most food (percentage) will win a movie party, complete with a pajama day, cozy blankets, and maybe a couple of surprises.
Finding Ollie, Season 3, Episode 6!
The latest episode, produced by GLOBE's 8th grade Leadership Class, can be viewed here.

GLOBE band students participate in the district-level audition
On Saturday, twelve GLOBE band students participated in the district-level audition for the Georgia Music Educators Association All-State Band. Chorus Spotlight:
Young Men’s Power Sing at Morehouse College
Four Chorus students, Tomas Camarillo, Anderson Gomez-Perez, Josiah Snow and Austin Suleiman, proudly represented The GLOBE Academy at the 13th annual Young Men’s Power Sing, hosted by Atlanta Young Singers in partnership with the Morehouse College Glee Club. This dynamic workshop brought together male-identifying singers from across the region for a day of connection, skill-building, and musical growth. You can view a video of one of the songs they sung, here.
Throughout the event, our students explored important topics such as:
Understanding what happens before, during, and after the voice change
Navigating social pressures young male-identifying singers often face
Differences between low-voice choirs and mixed choirs
Building confidence and leadership in choral settings
Vocal technique, repertoire study, improvisation, and collaborative music-making
The boys returned inspired, more knowledgeable about their developing voices, and excited to bring what they learned back to our chorus community. We are proud of their dedication and growth as young musicians! Congratulations to Tomas Camarillo, Anderson Gomez-Perez, Josiah Snow and Austin Suleiman!
