A Spring to Bloom

Texans,

Happy New Year!! Wow, we're already a quarter into the year, my how time flows by!

2026 has already brought some unexpected changes. Moments of uncertainty. Maybe even moments of fear—the kind that makes you pause and wonder what’s next. But in the midst of these moments, there is opportunity.

Opportunity to grow. Opportunity to become stronger in ways we didn’t expect. Opportunity to deepen our roots. In the middle of the unknown, there is something steady: Us. Not rattled by change, but rooted in belief. The belief that every child is capable of success. And the belief that behind our success, are teachers who give every ounce of their time, energy, and resources, even on the hardest of days.

We are more when we are together. We are a community in the truest sense. We lean in. We check in. We celebrate wins, big or small. We carry one another when the load gets heavy. As we move forward, let’s give each other grace. Let’s stay steady and headstrong, but also gentle. Let’s remain supportive, open, and hopeful—even when the path isn’t fully clear.

There is growth happening here. There is strength being built quietly. And there is opportunity waiting for us in places we may not yet see. Together, we embrace the opportunities ahead. It's our time to BLOOM this Spring.

Family Engagement Family Engagement

We kicked off the month of February with Breakfast With Your Hero and we had an amazing turnout and great discussions. Our Parent & Family Liaison, Mr. Villa, provided a yummy breakfast spread, discussion questions, and even shared who his hero was growing up. Tears, laughs, and a great time was had! We look forward to our next event...maybe a little something to show appreciation to the strong women in our lives...be on the lookout! 🌹

Your Neff Counselors were busy bees completing next year's transition with all grade levels and "Houston, mission accomplished!" Individual planning in the selection of next year's courses was a big success. Thank you to our Coaches and students for sharing their time and space with us as we signed up for next year's classes. February was our month for rising 7th and 8th graders, and we couldn't have been more excited to discuss and select the courses of choice.

All classes should be visible in your student's HAC. Please be on the lookout for future correspondence with regards to schedule changes for next year. We are not accepting requests at this time.

Later this month your Texan Counselors will be visiting our 6th graders to discuss the beauty of a positive self image and embracing our uniqueness. Ferdinand the Bull is a loving story of friendship, being one's authentic self, and not being influenced by our surroundings or others.

#BeyondTheGame

It always warms the heart when you see Student Athletes going beyond the game. It's not just about the hard work and grit you put out on the field, but more of the hard work and heart you leave behind in your community and school.
