Hearing Screening K, 1st, and 3rd Grade
Dear Parents and Guardians,
Davis School District follows state mandates and guidelines by providing free hearing screening for students. Syracuse Elementary will conduct a hearing screening on Tuesday, February 3, 2026.
Hearing screening is conducted under the direction of the district audiologist and includes students in preschool, kindergarten, 1st, and 3rd grades. If you’re concerned about your students’ hearing and they are not in the following grades, please contact the school nurse or office staff. Screening is also provided to students who are new to our district, experiencing signs and symptoms of hearing problems, or receiving SPED evaluations.
If you wish to NOT have your student participate in this screening, please return the following form to the school’s main office.
Thank you,

Estimados padres y tutores:

NOTE: Original email sent 01/22/26.
Dear Families,
We were informed by Syracuse City that due to safety concerns related to active construction equipment during school drop-off and pickup times, the entire northeast parking lot at Founders Park will be closed and inaccessible to the public beginning Monday, January 26, 2026.
This closure is being implemented to ensure the safety of students, families, and staff while construction is underway. We understand this may cause inconvenience and appreciate your patience and cooperation. Please plan ahead for alternative parking and travel routes during arrival and dismissal times.
Thank you for your continued support as we work together to keep our school community safe.
