A Message from the Principal A Message from the Principal

Wow, Wildcats! What an amazing first week!

Our students were busy, busy getting to know new routines and meeting new friends and staff members. We are so proud of the leadership so many of our students are already displaying, as well as the kind words being used with those around them. You may start hearing or seeing things referring to "We are WildCATS!" We invite you to help reinforce these traits with your child at home. Here at Wortham Oaks, we are Courteous, Accountable, Timely & Safe. Parents, thank you for supporting us and your child through the first week. We are ready for week 2!

Morning Arrival Reminders

✨Our morning recess routine will begin on Monday! 1st-4th grade students will have the opportunity to play outside from 6:50-7:10. To ensure student safety during our new morning activities, visitors will not be permitted in the building during morning arrival from 6:50-7:30am. Admin approved volunteers may be an exception to this during certain campus activities & events.

✨This year we are not utilizing the entry door near our music room for morning arrival due to security measures. All students entering on the cafeteria side of the school will need to enter at the cafeteria door.

✨Student entry at our cafeteria ends at 7:20. At that time, students will need to go to the front of the building.

✨Student safety is our top priority. Please do not drop students off in the parking lot. Please utilize our designated car drop-off lanes.

After School Dismissal Reminders

✨Woohoo! By day 3, we had significantly cut down our dismissal time. Great work staff, students & parents. It takes all of us to make that happen!

✨Parents, please help us to keeping your car tag displayed until your child is put in the car.

Visiting During Lunch

If you are visiting for lunch, please understand that your visitor's badge only gives you access to our central back courtyard. Parents should not be following students out to recess or back to classrooms without authorization through the front office.

Weekly Spirit Days

We invite our Wildcats to join our staff in participating in our weekly spirit days. Every Monday is College/Career/Military Spirit Day and on Fridays, we want to see your Wortham Oaks spirit shirts! We will also have plenty of other fun spirit days throughout the year. 👕

Counselor's Corner Counselor's Corner

Mrs. Zapata loved seeing all our Wildcats back on campus! She would like remind all returning families to complete their updated registration in Skyward for the 26-27 school year. There are forms that must be completed for her and Nurse Gill to be able to support your child throughout the year.
