Reading Horizons will be offering several summer sessions to help us improve implementation in Year 2 (2026-27). These sessions require that attendees have already been trained with the six hour training and have begun implementation in Year 1 (not for those untrained). Credit will be awarded in PLZ after the sessions.
Third Grade TCAP Retake
MTSS Leads and Grade 3 teachers have done an outstanding job with Pearson Grade 3 aimswebPlus spring benchmark via TestNav, but now comes one more test this week for all non-exempt students. Please check with your school Principal and BTC on when Grade 3 will Power Up on Tuesday, May 19 to ensure that devices are ready for Wednesday, May 20.
The Tennessee Department of Education (TDOE) is scheduled to release preliminary scores on Wednesday, May 20, 2026. Due to the limited timeframe before the last day of school on Thursday, May 21, 2026, all non-exempt MSCS third-grade students will participate in the TCAP ELA Retake on Wednesday, May 20, 2026.
Thank you!
Thank you for your time and attention this past year as you have served as the school champion for MTSS for our students. The work is a heavy task that involves many details and requires constant attention. As I shared at the beginning of the school year, we have a lofty goal of 100% implementation with 70% of students showing improved placement. This requires us to be like the bamboo farmer and water the bamboo each and every day.
Please take a moment to offer feedback in an anonymous way that will help the RTI2A Team improve next year.
