Fisher Family Update
August 28, 2025

Dear Fisher Families,
We’ve had a wonderful start to the school year! Over the past two days, our students have brought incredible energy and excitement back into the building. While some arrived a bit nervous, by lunchtime those same students were smiling, laughing, and enjoying time with friends. These first two days have also been a valuable opportunity for students to begin building positive relationships with their teachers and classmates, as well as to learn the routines, procedures, and expectations at their grade levels. That strong foundation is a true credit to our dedicated teachers and staff, who work so hard to ensure every child feels welcome, safe, and supported. The Fisher team is truly amazing!
Parents, you are an essential part of that team too. If you ever have any questions, concerns, or would like to speak with your child’s teacher or me about their progress, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We are always here for you and your student(s).
As a reminder, there will be no school on Friday or Monday in observance of Labor Day. We hope you enjoy the extra-long weekend with your families, and we look forward to welcoming back all of our Kindergarten through Fifth Grade students on Tuesday morning.
We are off to a fantastic start and look forward to an amazing year together. Please take a moment to read through this newsletter for important information, updates, and upcoming community events.
Take care,
Brian

For this coming school year, we are asking families to download the WPS app. We will be reserving SMS text messaging for urgent messages only. When sending non-urgent messages to families, we will be using the Live Feed as the delivery tool (through the WPS App). You will receive a detailed email from our tech department with further information and instructions.
Urgent alerts are considered to be "must read right now" messages, such as school closings, late buses, absence notifications, and emergencies. Non urgent alerts are considered to be reminders for spirit days, special events after school, etc.
