2025-2026

Course registration for the 2025/26 school year will take place beginning January 31st and will end with students turning in their registration sheet by Monday, February 24th. Please take time to look over the Registration Hub on the Parkview website to view information about course offerings. This site contains all the information needed for course registration. It can be found under the Academics tab on the Parkview website. Below are some key parts and dates for the course registration process.

The process will begin with core area teachers making recommendations for course placement for students they currently teach in our student information system.

Students will view elective offering videos during Advisement. These videos are also available on the Registration Hub and can be viewed by students and parents at any time.

Students will visit an elective fair during advisement to get a glimpse of the elective courses Parkview has to offer so students can begin making choices about the electives they would like to choose to take.

Students will receive their 2025/26 course registration sheet during 1st period. This registration sheet will have the core area recommendations pre-printed for the students, and they will use this sheet between February 19th through February 21st to choose their electives.

Student’s registration sheet is due back to their advisement teacher, filled out completely and with both student and parent signatures.

• If students and parents choose to request a change in level placement, they will need to complete Step 2 on the paper registration form to request a change in placement level. A parent signature is required! As a reminder, students should be performing highly (A range) in the current class level before requesting a higher level of a course. If a change is course placement is granted, the student will not be moved during the semester or year if they find the course too difficult.

Students will be able to see their 2025-26 course requests in the StudentVue app throughout the registration process.

Students who plan to do Dual Enrollment or apply to attend Maxwell High School of Technology or Grayson Tech will register for a full schedule of classes (6 classes each semester) at Parkview. Once the student is accepted into one of these special programs, the Parkview schedule will be adjusted.

Students and parents should carefully consider all that student’s are involved in both within and outside of school when choosing their classes, the level of their classes, the number of Advanced Placement courses, etc. We do not change schedules during or between semesters because students are overwhelmed with all that they have chosen to take on with their courseload or because they are concerned about their GPA. All these things should be considered before choosing classes.

Students are registering for classes for the full year and are committing to the chosen classes for the entire 2025-2026 school year.

The only changes to schedules after the registration process ends in February will be for those needed due to courses taken over the summer.
