WBES Mission: Inspire, Engage, Empower
Whitesburg Parents and Guardians,
We had a great week of teaching and learning.
Thanks to our Veteran's Day Speakers while we celebrated Veterans Day this past week.
CONGRATULATIONS! Whitesburg Elementary raised our School State Report Card from an 82 last year to an 86 this year! This is so exciting! Thanks to all students, parents and teachers for all of your hard work. This makes me so proud! Let's continue to strive to become even better. I would love to be able to say we raised our score to a 90 for next year, to be able to say we are an "A" school.
Thank you for your support! I am blessed to serve with you at the BURG!
Shine Bright Whitesburg!
Thanks,
Mrs. Jones

Thanksgiving Lunch - November 20
We are looking forward to seeing the 246 parents who reserved a spot to eat Thanksgiving lunch with their students. We love it when you are in the building and your students love to show you off.
This is just a reminder that if you did not send your reservation in, you will not be able to come to lunch that day. There is a lot of planning that happens to pull one of these events off and the slightest changes can cause things to go awry.
We are so thankful for our parents!

23-24 Whitesburg Elementary's Alabama State Report Card Grade
The official State of Alabama School Report Card grade for Whitesburg was released today. Our official score is an 82, which is a "B." While we are excited to have a "B," let's continue to strive to increase that score with a goal of raising our "B" to an "A." We will continue to work with our students to be grade level proficient. Parents can help us by working closely with the teachers to get ideas of how you can help you child at home, encouraging them to do their very best every day, and to make sure they are in attendance each day.
