ELPAC Resources ELPAC Resources

Free Education Resources | Starting Smarter California (ELPAC)

No one knows your child or their needs more than you. Starting Smarter provides you with the resources and information to help you use your child’s ELPAC score report to understand the areas where your child is excelling and where they can improve. All of this can begin a conversation with your child’s teachers about how your child’s learning and progress can be supported in school and at home all year long.

Need Assessment Survey Need Assessment Survey

The English Language Advisory Committee School Needs Assessment is important because it helps school leaders identify areas where English Learner students may need additional support or resources, ensuring that their educational needs are met effectively. It allows schools to make informed decisions about program improvements, professional development, and targeted interventions, ultimately working towards greater equity in education and ensuring that all students have the opportunity to succeed academically. The assessment also strengthens the partnership between schools and families, as parents of English Learner students have a key role in providing valuable feedback to enhance the overall learning experience. We are currently still in the process of collecting responses for our family needs assessment so if you have not yet completed this survey, please take the time to do so. This is your opportunity to have a voice in the decisions for our English Language Development Department.
