A Message from Dr. Holt
Dear RFISD Community,
It’s hard to believe we are already wrapping up September! We’ve had a great start to the school year, and it has been wonderful to see our students settling into their routines, getting involved, and making the most of the many opportunities available to them.
As we turn the calendar to October, we are heading into an especially busy month at RFISD. Our campuses are full of activities, competitions, performances, and events, and I encourage our families to come out and support our students whenever you can.
One of the upcoming highlights will be Homecoming Week, which includes our annual RFISD Pep Rally on Thursday, October 8th, and our Homecoming football game on Friday, October 9th. Homecoming is always a special time for our students, staff, families, and alumni, and we look forward to seeing our community come together to celebrate.
Just one week later, we have another exciting night ahead as the Randolph Ro-Hawks take on the Robert G. Cole Cougars at the Alamodome on Friday, October 16th. This annual rivalry is always a highly anticipated matchup, but this year will be particularly special as Randolph and Cole take the field at the Alamodome for the first time. With both schools serving military-connected communities here in Military City USA, we are looking forward to an unforgettable night for our students, families, and the entire RFISD community. If you haven't purchased your tickets yet, please be sure to do that soon. There is a flyer in this newsletter with purchasing instructions, and if you click on the flyer, it will take you to the Ticketmaster website where tickets are available.
Of course, there is much more happening throughout October beyond these events. I encourage you to keep an eye on district and campus communications so you don’t miss the many opportunities to support our students and be part of what is happening across RFISD.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support. I’m proud of the way our community shows up for our students, and I look forward to seeing many of you throughout what promises to be a very busy and exciting October!
Warm Regards,
Dr. Brian Holt

Thank you to all of the students, parents, and teachers who post wonderful pictures that we often use in our district newsletters. We are also especially grateful to Grunt Peterson Studios for generously sharing their talent with us by photographing so many of our athletic events throughout the year and providing the Randolph community access to those pictures free of charge.
