A Message from the Principal's Office
Dear Parents and Families,
🐾 Strong Instruction Across Pantherland
Last week was a great week of intentional planning and instruction across Pantherland. In classrooms throughout the building, teachers and students were highly engaged in meaningful learning. It was encouraging to see students collaborating, participating in discussions, and applying the strategies they have been learning throughout the semester. The focus and energy in our classrooms continue to reflect the strong academic culture we are building together at Stockard.
📝 TELPAS Testing Update
We are proud to share that we are now more than 95% complete with TELPAS testing. This week we will continue with make-up testing as we work toward 100% completion of this required state assessment.
Parents of students who missed either of last week’s testing opportunities may receive phone calls from the campus regarding attendance. Your support in ensuring that students are present if they still need to complete this assessment is greatly appreciated.
🎯 Staying Focused as Spring Break Approaches
As we move closer to Spring Break, we ask for your continued partnership in reminding students of the reason we come to school each day: learning and growth. While our classrooms remain engaging and productive learning environments, we have recently seen an increase in behaviors that interrupt instruction.
A quick reminder from home about respectful behavior, following campus expectations, and staying focused in class helps protect valuable learning time for all students. For your reference, the Student Code of Conduct information is included below as a reminder of the expectations that help us maintain a positive and productive campus environment.
💼 Career Day Volunteers Needed – March 13
Our Counseling Department is excited to bring Career Day to L.V. Stockard on Friday, March 13, and we are hoping to welcome many members of our Panther community as presenters.
Career Day provides students the opportunity to hear directly from professionals about different career paths, the journeys that led them there, and the skills that helped them succeed. These conversations often spark new interests and help students begin thinking about their own futures.
We are currently seeking parents, family members, and community volunteers who would be willing to share about their profession and experiences. If you are interested in participating, please scan the QR code on the flyer below and complete the Presenter Google Form. Your time and story could make a lasting impact on our students.
🌸 Spring Break Next Week
Next week is Dallas ISD Spring Break, and all campuses and district offices will be closed during this time. Families are encouraged to take advantage of the District Spring Break Meal Program, and information about meal locations and times is included below.
👏 Thank You for Your Continued Partnership
Thank you for your continued support of our students and staff. Together, we are creating an environment where Panthers can learn, grow, and succeed.
💫 One Team. One Dream. Panther Pride!

Career Day
Our Counseling Department is excited to bring Career Day to LV Stockard on Friday, March 13th, and we would love for members of our community to be part of this special experience for our students.
Career Day is an opportunity for our Panthers to hear directly from professionals about the many paths available to them after middle school and high school. When students meet real people who are passionate about their careers, it helps them begin to imagine what their own futures could look like.
We are currently looking for parents, family members, and community volunteers who would be willing to share a little about their career, their journey, and the skills that helped them succeed. Whether you work in healthcare, construction, business, technology, public service, the arts, or any other field, your story can make a lasting impression on our students.
If you are interested in participating, please take a moment to scan the QR code below and complete the Presenter Google Form. Our counseling team will follow up with additional details.
We truly hope you will consider partnering with us to help inspire the next generation of Panthers. Your time, experience, and encouragement can make a powerful difference.

OUR ATTENDANCE GOAL IS 95% OR HIGHER....
Strive for NO MORE THAN than 5 absences per school year
We kindly ask families to continue prioritizing daily attendance whenever possible. Due to recent winter weather closures, our campus lost nearly a full week of instruction, making every school day especially important moving forward.
Regular attendance has a direct impact on student learning, progress toward academic goals, and overall success. When students are present and engaged each day, they are better positioned to keep pace with instruction and avoid learning gaps.
Thank you for your continued partnership and support. We look forward to welcoming students back and starting the week strong.
