Llano Elementary Kittens
Where Hope Shines, Students Thrive and Champions Grow!

November Message to Families
As we enter the month of November, our hearts are filled with gratitude for our amazing students, families, and staff. This school year has already been full of growth, joy, and learning! Llano kindergarten students will be working on science habitats preparing for the open house on the 9th. Students and staff have been working hard creating beautiful habitats outside in the hallways, learning all about different animals and where they live, and then they present to the school, parents, and community members. It is such a wonderful experience. Be ready to be amazed!
October was a busy and exciting month, and we’ve included plenty of pictures below to share the fun. Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Book Fair Family Night. We had such a fantastic turnout! It was wonderful to see so many families spending time together and encourage the love of reading. We also enjoyed Homecoming Dress-Up Week, celebrated our Llano Kind Kittens at the 1st Nine Weeks Assembly and ended the month with Red Ribbon Week and Halloween festivities.
Your continued support, encouragement, and involvement truly make a difference in our school community. We are so thankful for each of you and look forward to many more wonderful moments ahead this year!

Lovington Schools is proud to partner with the Lovington Food Coalition to help supply food items for Thanksgiving Baskets. Food will be collected from each school on November 19, 2026 and be distributed to families on November 23, 2026. The Lovington Food Coalition is so grateful for the outpouring of generosity the schools have shown as we start our 12th season of giving. This year Llano Elementary will be collecting cereal.
ATTENDANCE
School attendance is important because it leads to better academic achievement, fosters crucial social and emotional development, and builds habits for future success. Students who attend regularly are more likely to stay on track, master concepts, build relationships with peers and teachers, and develop a strong work ethic. Conversely, chronic absenteeism can cause significant learning gaps and place students at risk for dropping out.

To avoid interrupting instructional time, we will not deliver snacks to classrooms. If it is your child's snack day, please send snacks to school with them. Snacks should fit inside your child’s backpack or in a single bag. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in helping us protect our students’ valuable learning time. Thank you for your support!
