Warhawk Culture - Warhawk Pride
At Westerville Central, being a Warhawk is more than a title—it’s a commitment to excellence. This week, we had the opportunity to talk with each grade level during our virtual class meetings to discuss what it means to be a part of this community and how we can continue to elevate our school culture together.
The Power of Your "20 Square Feet"
During our meetings, we challenged every student to own their 20 square feet. This concept is simple but powerful: if every person takes 100% responsibility for the space they occupy—their actions, their attitude, and how they treat those immediately around them—the entire school transforms.
Our pride in WCHS doesn't come from the building itself; it comes from the people inside it. When we own our individual space, we honor the collective Warhawk family.
Living the Warhawk Blueprint
We are calling on our students to embrace the Wings Up Mentality by living out our core Blueprint beliefs every day:
Own It (Protect the Nest): Never settle for less than your best. We are a family, and that means holding ourselves and each other accountable to the highest standards.
Pursue Excellence (Relentless Pursuit of Growth): Success is found in the small things. Whether it’s discipline in the classroom, effort in the arts and athletics, or simply keeping our campus clean, small actions lead to big victories.
Better Together (Respect and Value One Another): Wearing the Warhawk logo is a privilege. It represents your family, your peers, and our entire community. We show our pride by leaving every place—and every person—better than we found them.
Why It Matters
The Wings Up Mentality is a symbol of our discipline and our heart. It is a reminder that how you do anything is how you do everything. By committing to these standards, we aren't just making a better school; we are building the character and habits that will lead to a lifetime of success.
I am incredibly proud of our students and the energy they brought to our school this week. Let’s continue to put in the work, support one another, and show the world what it truly means to be a Warhawk.
WINGS UP !

HOPE DAY
Westerville Central High School will host our Hope Squad’s first Mental Health & Wellness Fair on January 28, 2026, during the school day. This event promotes mental health awareness, reduces stigma, and connects students and staff with trusted community resources. Students will engage with local mental health professionals, wellness organizations, and service providers through interactive experiences focused on overall well-being. We are grateful to our community partners who make this meaningful day possible.

** Students from Westerville North and Westerville Central are invited but must find their own transportation. Students from WNHS and WCHS must sign in at the Main Office prior to coming to the Library.
