Dear Charger Families,

This week, we celebrate Read Across America Week, a time to ignite the joy of reading in our students and honor the legacy of Dr. Seuss, who was born on this day in 1904. His stories have inspired generations with their creativity, wisdom, and encouragement to be boldly ourselves.

In the spirit of Dr. Seuss, here are a few of his timeless words to reflect on:

  • "You have to be odd to be number one."
  • "Today you are You, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is Youer than You."
  • "You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself any direction you choose."

Throughout the week, we’ll be celebrating reading with special activities, guest readers, and fun literary adventures(see image below). We encourage families to take time to read together, share stories, and explore the magic that books bring into our lives. Be sure to participate in our dress up days!

Let’s make this a week filled with whimsy, wonder, and the joy of reading!

Stay curious and keep reading!

MWHS Open Night for all ages... MWHS Open Night for all ages...

The high school’s Music Club hosted a fantastic Open Mic Night last Thursday, featuring great karaoke and musical performances for students of all ages—including a delightful performance by Cora, a kindergartener, who sang "The Fox Went Out on a Chilly Night."

Mark your calendars! The next Open Mic Night will be on May 8th—we hope to see you there!
