The weather certainly kept us on our toes this week so THANK YOU for sending students in dressed for the weather, and with all their snow gear! Even though we didn't have many outdoor recess opportunities, it is always good to have those snow items here! We watch the weather all morning and wait as late as possible to call indoor recess in case the temperatures rise enough to allow everyone to get some fresh air and exercise. One bright spot of the colder days was that the amazing snow men the students made last week stayed around for a bit longer than they would have otherwise!

Despite the chill in the air, our 3rd Graders warmed our hearts on Thursday night with their supercalifragilistic Disney musical performance! Together we celebrated 100 years of Disney while being treated to some wonderful renditions of classic Disney songs and some amazing drumming that had us all tapping our toes! Thank you to the 3rd Grade teaching team and to Mr Whitaker for supporting our students and making this such an entertaining show and to Mrs Fasolo for taking such lovely pictures!

Thank you to everyone who has donated items for the Student Council Food Drive this week! We will continue to collect items for one more week so please feel free to send in items if you wish.

I hope those of you attending the PTA Sponsored Trivia Night tomorrow have a great time!

Thanks!

Ellie Chin

Due to our recent website platform change, the process for syncing school and district calendars with your personal calendar is now different. The previous calendar sync from our former website will no longer show the most up-to-date information.

To continue receiving accurate event updates, please disconnect or delete the old calendar link and add the new one…it takes just a minute! A short how-to video is linked below to walk you through the steps.

Next week (the week of February 2nd - February 6th) will be Digital Citizenship Week in District 25. February conferences will take place on Monday, February 16th. These conferences will take place over one day and will be in 10-minute increments.

These conferences are always a great way for you to connect with your child(ren)'s teacher, spend some time in the classroom and hear about your child's school life! We appreciate the ongoing partnership and collaboration that is shared in the Patton community. Please note that there is only one conference time slot for each student.

Thank you to those of you who have already signed up for a slot! The signup link was emailed out to families on Sunday, January 18th but we realize there was quite an important football game on that evening so, for those of you who may have missed it, you can find the signup link HERE.

The signup will close at 12:00 pm on Monday, February 9th.

Fourth and Fifth Grade Parents: The conference times are for meeting with your child's homeroom teacher. If your child has a different teacher for math and you have specific math questions, please email him or her directly.

OUTDOOR RECESS INFORMATION (2nd Post!) OUTDOOR RECESS INFORMATION (2nd Post!)

This is just a gentle reminder that students go outside for recess EVERY day unless it is raining or the wind chill is below 0°F. Please ensure that students arrive to school dressed appropriately for the cold weather, and please send them with their snow gear every day.

We try to minimize classroom interruptions as much as possible and there has recently been an increase in the amount of snow gear being dropped off after the start of the school day. This requires us to call in and interrupt classroom instruction.

Please help us limit classroom interruptions by taking a moment on a morning to make sure everyone has everything they need for a warm and comfortable recess.

Thank you so much for partnering with us on this front!
