The Rise Up Family Connection
Some thoughts for the starting school year
September 18, 2026
Dear Sunset Park CAS Families,
This week, we recognize Attendance Awareness Week and remind everyone that consistent attendance is essential to student success. Every day at school provides opportunities for students to learn, build relationships, develop good habits, and grow academically and socially.
When students miss school, they miss valuable instruction and experiences that can be difficult to replace. Please help your child arrive on time each day and remain at school for the entire instructional day. Of course, if your child is sick, please follow the appropriate health guidelines and communicate with the school.
Thank you for partnering with us to make attendance a priority. Together, we can ensure that every student is present, prepared, and ready to Rise Up!
