Thank you and congratulations to all the students who tried out for Peter Pan Jr. this week! We are so proud of every one of you, and we can't wait to see how you continue to grow as we get closer to putting the show together.

🚲 New Jersey E-Bike Law 🚲
Effective Date: January 19, 2026
New Jersey has enacted updated statewide regulations governing electric bicycles (e-bikes). The law establishes licensing, registration, and insurance requirements and clarifies rules for both riders and motorists. The goal is to create consistent standards, reduce crashes, and promote safer shared road use.
𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗜𝗦 𝗖𝗢𝗩𝗘𝗥𝗘𝗗
E-Bike Classifications:
- Class 1 & Class 2 – Maximum speed: 20 mph
- Class 3 – Maximum speed: 28 mph; treated similarly to motorized bicycles
ALL E-BIKES IN NEW JERSEY NOW REQUIRE A LICENSED RIDER, STATE REGISTRATION, AND INSURANCE COVERAGE.
These measures are intended to enhance safety, accountability, and responsible e-bike use on new jersey roadways.

- All e-bikes must be registered with the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC).

- Riders under 15 years old are not permitted to operate e-bikes with motor assistance.

Adopt a Hydrant
This winter, we invite Hamburg families, especially our students, to “adopt” a fire hydrant near their home. After a snowfall, take a moment to check your hydrant: Is it clear? Is it shoveled out? If it is not, please grab a shovel and ask your family to help. Keeping hydrants clear ensures our firefighters can act quickly when seconds truly matter. We are encouraging parents to speak with your children about why fire hydrants are important and let them take pride in helping protect their neighborhood. It’s a simple act with a powerful impact.
Every second counts. We need your help. Kids Power. Hamburg Strong. 🔥💪
Hamburg School will be hosting a Zoom session (February 11 @ 6 PM) and
an in person session (February 12 @ 6:30 PM).
Information will not be reviewed at this session, rather we are looking
for community feedback as to next steps for Hamburg School.
