Nash Sunday Smores

September 20, 2026
Hello Nash Families,
Hello Families,
We had an amazing week at Nash! The students are putting in a lot of effort in the classroom, honing their routines and building new friendships. We're especially proud of how well they are memorizing their lunch numbers. Just a reminder, we have Open House Tuesday, September 22, and we can't wait to see everyone. Thank you also for working with us as we ensure our students arrive and leave school safely. As always, feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns. Wishing you all a wonderful night!

Attendance Matters
We will be focusing on how to support our families and make sure our students are attending school regularly. We will be working alongside you in order to make sure all supports are in place so our students have a successful school year.
Dismissal Sheet
Please remember to let us know before 2:30 if there's a change in dismissal.
Lunch
Thank you again for your support as we punch lunch numbers in. The students are doing so well and lunch has been improving daily.
Open House, September 22
We are so excited to welcome you all on Tuesday for our Nash Open House!
While students attending the Open House is not required, we know families love bringing them along to experience the evening together. As our school continues to grow, we ask that all students remain with their adult at all times while in the building.
Be sure to visit the gym, where you’ll find informational tables with helpful resources and information for families.
We can’t wait to see you Tuesday!
Please do not line up for drop off until 8:50am. Thank you so much!
Arrival Procedure
- Drop off line will begin at 8:50. We ask that families do not line up any earlier. This will cause traffic to back up into route 18, which will cause a traffic issue.
- Please pull all the way up as noted on the diagram provided.
- No one should pass any other vehicles on the left and stay in line even if their child has left the vehicle. This is because students exit from each side of vehicles and we want them safe from cars.
- If you pull up and come to a stop along the sidewalk, please exit your child there. This allows a quick exit and traffic to move quickly.
- You do not need to pull up to the door, their are staff and sidewalks to safely guide students to the door.
- We ask that no adults exit car in the line to assist in getting a student out. If your child struggles to get out of the car seat, please continue to pull through the line and park. This allows you extra time and you may walk them to the front door. (And sneak in another hug goodbye)
We will be out there assisting all families. We thank you all for your patience the next few days as our new families learn the routines.

Dismissal
Please refer to the link below to see where your students classroom will be dismissed.
All those that would like to use the playground, please park on the perimeter. The rest may line up in rows. We ask that all cars wait for clearance to leave. It can be dangerous with foot traffic walking through.
Parking will be tight with an additional classroom added soon.
Reminder that the Stetson Building kindly ask us not to park there, Our elderly frequent that building and we have to be cautious and careful as they drive and walk through that parking lot.

Weymouth Food Pantry Backpack Program
The Weymouth Food Pantry has partnered with Weymouth Public Schools to continue the Backpack Program, which provides food to participating students weekly to meet their nutritional needs over the weekend. Bags include items such as juice boxes, granola bars, mac & cheese cups, goldfish crackers, and milk. The menu will vary weekly.
School staff and volunteers will prepare a bag of food for each child and connect it to the student by Friday afternoon. These bags are free, open to all students, and sponsored by the Weymouth Food Pantry.
Please complete the Google Form below by Friday, October 16, 2026 if your child would benefit from receiving additional food to take home over the weekends. If you would like to sign up for the program after October 16, please contact your child’s school for assistance.
All families must re-enroll each school year so we can confirm current information, including any food allergies or dietary needs.
Weymouth residents are also encouraged to check out WFP’s pop-up pantry schedule here: Weymouth Food Pantry Calendar

Classroom Snack Updates
Due to the safety of students with allergies, we asked that all students bring only ONE snack during classroom snack break. When each student brings in just one snack, it is easier for us to make sure the snack is safe for classmates.
Examples: piece of fruit, bag of goldfish, granola bar, gogurt
Please avoid snack that require utensils or more than one thing.
Thank you!
Important Message about our Playground
Please read this important note regarding the playground:
Consistency is so important for our students that we find it important to share with you our playground expectations that we provide to the students during the school day.
We hope this carries over to after school and beyond:
Everyone plays – Every game is open to whoever wants to play as long as those playing are being safe, respectful and responsible during the game. Including others are expected behaviors.
Play safe – Students must play so that they and others are not physically or emotionally hurt. Students must avoid rough play, unsafe play, and name-calling. Examples of unsafe play include jumping from the top of the play structure or sliding into someone still on or near the end of the slide
Be Respectful- Students will listen and follow directions. They will be kind and provide other students an opportunity to use the play structure. Keep hands and feet to themselves.
Have fun and enjoy!
