At-A-Glance Schools Reconfiguration Information
The Upper Darby School District is preparing for several school reconfiguration changes that may impact the building your child will attend beginning in the 2026–2027 school year. These changes are designed to support long-term planning and ensure clear, consistent neighborhood school assignments for families. To help you understand how these updates may affect your family, we have created this resource outlining the neighborhood school assignments.
Elementary Schools Reconfiguration Information
The Hillcrest Elementary School catchment area has been reconfigured, resulting in some students being reassigned to the Aronimink Elementary School catchment area.
Due to the sunsetting of Charles Kelly Elementary School, students formerly enrolled there will transition to either the Stonehurst Hills Elementary School or the Highland Park Elementary School, based on the reconfigured catchment areas.
The Highland Park Elementary School catchment area has also been reconfigured, with some students now moving to the Hillcrest Elementary School catchment area. Kindergarten students living in the reconfigured area will continue to attend the Kindergarten Center for kindergarten, then transition to Hillcrest for first grade.
Middle Schools Reconfiguration Information
With the upcoming opening of Clifton Heights Middle School, the district’s feeder patterns have been updated.
Clifton Heights Middle School will serve students from Westbrook Park Elementary, Garrettford Elementary, and Primos Elementary.
Beverly Hills Middle School will serve students from Stonehurst Hills Elementary, Bywood Elementary, and a portion of Aronimink Elementary.
Drexel Hill Middle School will serve students from Highland Park Elementary, Hillcrest Elementary, and the remaining portion of Aronimink Elementary.
School Assignment Policy and Resources
Families can reference Policy 206 – Attachment: Street List (Beginning with the 2026–27 School Year), which identifies the neighborhood school for all addresses within the district. This document is available in BoardDocs at this link.
In addition, families may find it helpful to review the “Reconfiguration of Schools 2026–27” presentation from the September 23, 2025, school board committee meeting. Slide 38 highlights the online address lookup tool that will be available for family use beginning May 2026.
