Chromebook Collection Incoming

As we prepare for Chromebook collection in May, we’re asking all students to start locating their Chromebook and charger now. If any items are damaged or missing, please report it to the school as soon as possible. Taking care of this early will help make the collection process smooth for everyone. • Lost hinge cover*: $15

*If students have a hinge cover or Chromebook case that has come off and is at home, please have them stop by Room 102 to get it properly reinstalled. This helps prevent further damage to the device/part.

FBLA Winner!

Our FBLA students competed at EKU in the Spring FBLA Regional Conference. Students participated in different events and demonstrated their knowledge and skills they've learned through their business classes and FBLA meetings.

In his first time ever in the competition, Yahsaya Boaz won first place in the impromptu speaking event, where students have 10 minutes to prepare and deliver a speech on a random business topic in front of a panel of judges. We are so proud of Yahsaya! He moves on to the state competition at the Galt House in Louisville after spring break. #academiesoflex #leadingtheway #fbla

AVID Welcomes 8th Graders

AVID students welcomed Bryan Station Middle School's 8th graders last week for a fun-filled morning. The high schoolers led the 8th graders through a rotation of activities like Pictionary, Making Words With Friends, Mingle Bingo, and a school tour. It was a great chance for our AVID families to get to know each other and for 8th graders to connect with high school AVID students. A big thank you to Mrs. Brandy Ashford and Mrs. Laura Duffy for manning the stations. Mrs. Ashford and Mrs. Yvette Thompson for assisting with planning and logistics. Also, to Mrs. Rebecca Shearer, Dr. Fred Snodgrass, Mr. Eric Hale and Ms. Latonya Meekins for stopping by to greet the students.

Dance Blue Success @BSHS

On Sunday, March 30th, representatives from Bryan Station’s DanceBlue spent time at UK’s 24 hour DanceBlue Marathon. Students Brooke Etter, Estella Fowler, Riley Morris, and Kinsley Varney went onstage to present a check on behalf of the high school for over $6,000. This money was added to the $2.3 Million dollars raised by all DanceBlue marathons this year to support the children’s pediatric oncology unit at the University of Kentucky hospital. We are proud of our students and their hard work!
