Smart Notebook

In FCS, Smart Notebook is install on every computer that is connected to a Smart Board. It allows you to create and manage content. You can use the notebook feature to write on the board, move objects, visit and navigate websites and play games. The BEST part! You don't have to be behind a computer the whole time! Join the class and take the 'Smart Notebook' Brag Board Challenge.

1. Click on the 'Start' button

2. If you do not see 'Smart Notebook' listed - Select 'All Programs'

3. Select 'SMART Technologies'

4. Select 'SMART Notebook 11' (It might take a moment to load)

5. It should open a SMART Notebook blank page

6. Check out all of the SMART Notebook features!

Teachers from all over use Smart Exchange to upload files that they have created to share. Once you have a good command of the software, click on the button below for the site link and directions. See what resources another teacher has already created. Download and edit for your use.

Alright...now you have explored all of the features in the SMART Notebook. Next, you must complete a challenge in order to receive your badge!

1. Open up a NEW SMART Notebook Page.

2. You may use this to create a classroom lesson. Please create at least 3 slides and use at least 1 Interactive Multimedia tool from the Gallery's Toolkit.

This content can include but is NOT limited to, bell activity, written notes (using the marker or text feature), display images or recording through the document camera.

3. Save your Notebook file and export it as a PDF (File, Export, Save).

4. Upload your file to your Google Drive, Share so others can View Only, and submit the link to the PDF in the SMART Notebook Badge form, linked below.
