Cougar Club 🐾 Cougar Club 🐾

This is a friendly reminder that Cougar Club will be closed on Monday, September 7th, and no care will be offered that day.

However, we will be open for a full day on Friday, September 18th. Full-day care will be held at Walnut Hills.

September 18th Full-Day Details:

  • 🕖 Hours: 7:00 AM–6:00 PM
  • 📍 Location: Walnut Hills
  • 💰 Cost: $46.00 for the first child and $41.40 for each additional sibling

I have also received a few questions regarding our refund and credit policy, so I wanted to provide a reminder. The ECS Family Handbook states on pages 9–10:

“Once parents have checked out of the SchoolCare Works Family Portal, there are no credits or refunds given for schedule changes or sessions not attended. Parents cannot ‘trade’ or ‘switch’ for days or sessions not attended.”

The handbook also explains that credits are only available in certain circumstances, such as qualifying extended illness, a death in the family, or if a child is involuntarily excluded from the program. Requests for credit due to an extenuating circumstance must be submitted in writing within one week of the absence.

Thank you for your understanding and for helping us follow these policies consistently. We appreciate your continued support of Cougar Club!

🏃 Get Ready for the 2026 Walnut Hills Fun Run!

The Walnut Hills Fun Run is back! For new families, the Fun Run is our annual school-wide fundraiser and celebration. Students raise money for Walnut Hills, then take to the field for a day of running, music, school spirit and plenty of cheering from families and staff.

This year, funds raised through the Fun Run will help support our incredible teacher aides, who play an essential role in keeping our kids safe, learning and supported throughout the school day.

📅 Save the date: Friday, Oct. 2!

Each grade will have its own run time on the field behind the school, and families are invited to cheer on their students.

Fundraising kicks off Sept. 21, but families can register their students now. Visit our Fun Run website for everything you need to know, and follow us on Instagram for updates.

Want to help make the Fun Run happen? Sign up to volunteer!

📣 Join Us for Our Next PTCO Meeting!

Our next PTCO meeting is Tuesday, Sept. 8, from 6–7:30 p.m. in the Walnut Hills library. Come hear what’s happening around the school, learn what PTCO has coming up and find ways to get involved. Can’t make it in person? Join us virtually via Teams.
