Hello Panther Parents,

I hope you're having a wonderful week! I know we are at NPE! We have so many exciting things happening over the next 3 weeks!

This week, the 2025 College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI) scores came out for all schools in Georgia. We are very happy with our results which can be found here. Note: You have to search for New Prospect Elementary-Fulton County, then at the top you have to click "Elementary" to see all the data.

The CCRPI no longer includes an overall 0-100 score for schools, districts, or the state. This change was first implemented in 2022 under an addendum received from the U.S. Department of Education and made permanent last year under an amendment to Georgia’s Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) plan.

Each CCRPI component – Content Mastery, Progress, Closing Gaps, Readiness, and Graduation Rate (High Schools Only) uses 0-100 scores. The change was made to increase transparency and provide a more complete picture of school performance, ensuring that challenges and opportunities are not hidden behind a single score.

New Prospect

Content Mastery- 100 (no change from last year but stayed 100!)

Progress-100 (up 7.1%!!!!)

Closing Gaps-95% (went down about at % in subgroup ELA)

Readiness-93.2 (down -1.6%)

We are doing amazing! Our students, you their families and our teachers' hard work is really paying off and it shows! We always have room to grow and have and continue to be dissecting this data to see where we need to grow more. If you want to look more into the what the data means and how it is calculated, you can check it out here, and of course I'm here if you have any questions!

Thanks for being such a great partner in this amazing school!

Also, THANK YOU to all who came to our Thanksgiving Feast! It was wonderful!

COSA Accepting Schools for 2026-2027

Application window closes January 9, 2026 at 11:59 p.m.

Fulton County Schools has identified the following schools that can accept transfer students for the 2026-2027 school year under the Change of School Assignment process. Only schools with available space, defined as 95% enrollment or below stated capacity over a 3-year projection, are COSA-eligible.

The application deadline is Friday, January 9, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. Acceptance or denial decisions for COSA applications are expected to be emailed in mid/late January. If the application is approved, parents must respond by the stated deadline to have their child enrolled at the new school in 2026-2027. Transportation is the responsibility of the parent, and students must meet attendance, academic and behavioral requirements to maintain enrollment.

Does your family need a little help?

We recognize that some families in our school community rely on SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) to help meet monthly food needs. The Georgia Department of Human Services has announced that November SNAP benefits may be delayed due to a pause in federal funding.

We understand this news may bring stress and uncertainty for some families. Please know you are not alone — our school and Fulton County Schools are here to support you.

To help families during this time, we are launching the ConnectFulton Food Initiative. We are partnering with food banks, churches, and community organizations across the county to ensure families have access to groceries and meals. A full list of nearby food resources is available HERE.

If your family has a critical need for food, clothing or shelter, please reach out to Mrs. Christina McLeod at mcleodcr@fultonschools.org (will be confidential).

We are committed to ensuring our students and families have access to the necessary resources to promote the learning and well-being of our students. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need assistance or have questions.
