Intensive Family Services
IFS is an intensive, in-home program designed to help families address the concerns identified by the court and Family Support Team and achieve lasting stability. Families receive approximately 3–5 hours of individualized support each week, which may include parent education, supervised parent/child visitation, advocacy, connections to housing, transportation, employment and other resources, and support at FST meetings and court. The goal is to help families build the skills and stability needed to prevent removal, maintain children safely in the home, or achieve reunification more quickly.
RPG: Creating a Village
RPG provides grant-funded, intensive family services specifically for families impacted by substance use and involved with the child welfare system. Families receive many of the same individualized, in-home supports available through IFS, along with services such as substance use treatment, drug testing, mental health counseling, parent education, early childhood support, and assistance addressing barriers to stability. RPG is available to eligible families in Laclede, Webster, Hickory, Polk, Dallas, and Taney counties, with a focus on sustained sobriety, child safety, permanency, and long-term family stability.
**IFS families DO NOT have to be ready for trial home visit to qualify!
