Due to a shortage of bus drivers there is a weekly rotation of bus cancellations. Please make sure to update how your student will go home on the weeks their bus is cancelled in Pik My Kid.

Currently cancellations are only posted through Nov. 6th

Our School Buses will be recalled to the bus terminal 1 hour after dismissal when we have severe weather in the area.

🚌 What does this mean for bus riders?
Buses will return to the Bus Terminal at 5:00 PM. If a lightning strike occurs at 4:30 PM or later, parents/guardians must make arrangements to pick up their Child at School.

Please make sure you have a plan in place for these situations in case you need to pick up your student due to a weather delay.

🌩️ Stay Weather Aware!
Weather apps such as WeatherBug, My Lightning Tracker, and similar tools can be excellent resources for monitoring storms. These are also among the types of tools the school uses to help track weather conditions.

Thank you for planning ahead and helping us keep our students safe during severe weather!

📢 Beginning in the 2026–27 school year, all Douglas County School District elementary and middle schools will start ⏰ 45 minutes later every Friday beginning August 21st.

• 🏫 Pine Lane’s Friday start time will be 9:55 AM.
• 👩‍🏫👨‍🏫 This time will be dedicated to teacher collaboration focused on improving instruction and better supporting students.

Every student at Pine Lane will be issued a device to use for the year in their classrooms. Please complete the online form below for each of your students.

Students will not be assigned a device until this form has been completed.

If you completed this during Express Check-In you do not need to complete again.

We are gearing up for a smooth dismissal process this year!

Please read below to see how to get your PikMyKid car tags:

• Parents/Legal Guardians are added to PMK. If you want anyone else to be able to pick up your student, you can Delegate to them in the Calendar. They must also have the app.
• *You need to set your students' Default Pick Up Mode by Monday, Aug 24th* - The default mode is how your student will go home the majority of the time.

• New Families & Kindergarten Families: You will automatically receive your printed PikMyKid car tags—no action is needed on your part for car tags.

• Returning Families: If you still have your car tags from last year, you are good to go! They are still active and ready to use.

• Need a Replacement or Extra Tag? If you are a returning family and lost your tag, or simply need an extra one for another vehicle, please let us know by filling out our quick request form below.

✨ Providing assistance to special education teachers
✨ Supporting the instructional, medical, and health needs of special education students
✨ Providing clerical support to teachers
✨ Assisting with daily functions such as toileting, feeding, and life skills instruction
✨ Developing and promoting positive relationships among students, families, staff, and the school community

2. Click the “person” icon in the top-right corner.
3. Select “Settings.”
4. Review your contact information and communication preferences.
5. If you see an incorrect phone number or email address, update your information in Infinite Campus.
6. If you are unable to make the change, please contact your child’s school registrar to request an update.
