Accelerate, Innovate, Integrate and do great! Message from the Principal

Hello BVA families!

Thank you to all High school families, for sending your students for in-person final exams this week. We are proud of the students hard work and dedication this quarter! We will have new classes loaded to begin April 6th. Please remind your children to finish the final quarter strong. All high school students, please make sure you are completing your community service hours. All high school seniors need 120 hours to graduate. This equates to 30 hours per school year.

Spring break is just around the corner and will take place March 30–April 3. Let’s all use this time before break to stay focused and finish the quarter strong.

We are monitoring student progress very closely. If students are not staying on track or checking in regularly with their teacher, they may be in violation of the master contract agreement and may need to transition back to in-person instruction.

Thank you for your continued support and partnership. Please reach out to Miss Brueninger or me at 760-685-1686 with any questions. Together, we will Accelerate, Innovate, Integrate, and do Great!

Warm regards,
Tina Calabrese
Principal, Bonsall Virtual Academy

💛 Support Love On Your Back

Helping Bonsall Students in Need

Love On Your Back was founded by longtime Bonsall teacher Carol Wood, who served the

Bonsall Unified School District for 32 years. Upon retiring, Carol and a team of dedicated

volunteers launched this nonprofit organization to ensure that no child in our community goes

hungry.

The Love On Your Back Nutritional Backpack Program provides weekend food support for

Bonsall students whose families are facing financial hardship or crisis. Many of these students

rely on free or reduced-price meals during the school week, and this program bridges the gap

by sending home nutritious food to help families through the weekend. Currently we support 153

children in our program.

Our mission is simple but vital: to ensure every child in the Bonsall Unified School District

has the nourishment they need to learn, grow, and thrive.

Unfortunately, with food prices on the rise and limited supplies available from local food banks,

our funds are running low. We are reaching out to our community for help to keep this important

program going.

💛 How You Can Help:

● Make a monetary donation via Venmo: @LoveOnYourBack

● Or send a check to:

We also welcome corporate sponsorships, and we are happy to provide tax-deductible

donation receipts upon request. For more information about our program visit loyb.weebly.com

Together, we can make sure that no child in Bonsall goes hungry.

Thank you for your generosity and support!

Online resources Reading grades K-5

Florida center for reading resources is a collection of research based/teacher created Student Center Activities for use in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade classrooms. The activities are designed for students to practice, demonstrate, and extend their learning of what has already been taught, sometimes with teacher assistance and sometimes independently. Students can complete the activities in small groups, pairs, or individually.

Accompanying these Student Center Activities is a Teacher Resource Guide that offers important insights on differentiated instruction and how to use the Student Center materials.
