District Update - February 27
Interim Superintendent's Message
Midview Families, Staff, and Community,
It is a great and humbling honor to step in as your interim superintendent and continue serving the community I’ve proudly called my professional home for the past 14 years. While change can feel uncertain, our focus remains unchanged: supporting every student, empowering our educators, and upholding the strong sense of community at the heart of our district.
With the 100-day mark behind us, we are well past the halfway point of the school year. While the winter months can certainly be challenging, I am proud of how our students have stayed focused and our staff has continued to inspire, motivate, and challenge them. I am hopeful we will soon be rewarded with some sunshine instead of more snow days.
This time of year always brings a unique balance of finishing the current year strong while thoughtfully preparing for the next. We are currently in the course request and scheduling process for our middle and high school students. Our teams have reviewed course offerings to ensure students continue to have access to a well-rounded education—strong core instruction paired with electives and specialized programs that reflect their interests and future goals. Behind the scenes, we are also reviewing class sizes, staffing needs, and the services that help meet students’ academic and social-emotional needs. This intentional planning ensures we are positioned to serve students well, not just today, but in the year ahead.
As we move toward the fourth quarter, we are also busy preparing for state assessments, coordinating upcoming spring events, enrolling our youngest Middies, and beginning preparations for graduation.
Thank you for your continued partnership. I am proud to serve this community and grateful to walk alongside you in support of our students’ growth and success.
Best,
Mrs. Meredith Udris
Interim Superintendent
