MATH

In Math, we will work on preparing our students for 4th grade by reviewing:

  • Multiplication facts (should be memorized by the end of 3rd grade)
  • 2 digit by one digit multiplication strategies. Understanding of the area model is fundamental in order to keep on building on this skill.
  • Division: Review strategies learned this school year.

SCIENCE

May will be a fun month of science for your third grader. We will be exploring life cycles of both plants and animals. The last few weeks of school we will be exploring STEM activities. We will apply our learning throughout the year to various STEM challenges. Science is going to bring wonderful learning opportunities this month!

SOCIAL STUDIES

Students will prepare and review for the CBA # 3 that will take place on May 7th. After that, teachers and students will work together on identifying the topic on which they will develop their Project Based Learning (PBL) activity for the end of the school year.
