MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL BANKS
Dear Lindblom Families,
Our teachers had the opportunity to conference with approximately 520 families during Parent-Teacher Conferences. This strong turnout reflects our shared commitment to supporting student learning and academic success.
We hope that each family left their conference with helpful insights and tools to guide and encourage their child through both challenges and achievements. By this time, students have received meaningful feedback and are encouraged to take ownership of their learning by applying teacher recommendations, revisiting areas of difficulty, and seeking additional support when needed. Together, we can continue to foster growth and progress for every student.
We are pleased to announce that 332 students from grade 7 - 12 have made the 1st Quarter Honor Roll. We had 67 students earn all A’s, while 265 earned A’s and B’s. Please see the link to review 2025-2026 - 1st Quarter Honor Roll. We know that more students are capable of making the list and we look forward to having more in the next quarter.
Together we rise onward and upward.

NEW Opportunity for Illinois students who are interested in the future of global food security and agriculture!
What is a Youth Institute?
In collaboration with agricultural university partners around the world, the World Food Prize Foundation offers over 38 Youth Institutes throughout Honduras, Kenya, the Netherlands, Sweden, Sierra Leone, Uganda and the United States. Through these programs, students research a food security issue in a country of their choice, write a three-to-five-page paper and present their findings at a Youth Institute Roundtable alongside peers, educators and industry experts.
Who is Eligible?
This event is open to all Illinois students in grades 9-12 who write and submit a Global Challenge Research Paper by the February 27th deadline. While registration will open at a later date, we invite you to help your students get started now with the Global Challenge Research Paper, the core requirement for participation.
What to Expect?
The Illinois Youth Institute will allow students from across the state to share their research papers with like-minded peers and experts in a small group format. We are planning an exciting program filled with local and global leaders who are ready to inspire this generation to address the big food and agriculture issues of our day.
Come ready to network, learn, and get motivated! Check out the flyer for more information and registration!

Congratulations to Lindblom's Girls Varsity Volleyball team for a first round win in IHSA Regional playoffs against Eisenhower High School! Although they came up short in the second round against Mother McAuley, they put it all on the floor and we are so proud of them.
Congratulations to AC Girls Volleyball team! They went undefeated for the season and have taken the title as Network 11 Champions!!!
Congratulations to our Lindblom Advanced Band students - Nia Davis, Tajourney Wallace, Jonas Chibe, Alana Lones, and Laila Yunusa - for their excellent work and culminating performance in UIC's 13th Annual Honors Band Festival! They came together with other CPS and Chicagoland band programs for a weekend-long performance intensive, which began on Friday night with seating auditions and a first rehearsal. They continued on Saturday with a twelve hour intensive, which included lessons, masterclasses, sectional rehearsals, and large ensemble rehearsals, and they concluded yesterday with a dress rehearsal and concert performance.
Laila, Nia, and Alana received Certificates of Excellence for exemplary ensemble skills and contributions, and Alana won first chair of the flute section in her seating audition and played a superb solo. UIC's professors raved about how great all of our participating students were, citing their artistry, musicality, preparedness, positivity, and professionalism. Once again, our Lindblom band students represented our amazing school and continue to shine in the instrumental music world!

Students must arrive in class within three (3) minutes from the time indicated on the tardy pass.
Any student without a pass in the hallway after the initial hall sweep will be escorted to the nearest tardy station to receive a pass.
