Hello Knox Students and Parents!!

Welcome Back to School! We are off to a great start this school year. During the month of August, students got to participate in Club Sign Up Day and parents got to join us for Back to School Night. We have so many clubs at Knox. They include: Gardening, Pop Culture, Circle Leaders, Bulldog Buddies, Art, Chess, Tech Deck, ASB, Musical Theater, Book Club, Ballet Folklorico and many more.

Attendance:

Great job to all of our students that have been working on clearing their absences during the weekend. As a reminder, End of Year activities are LOP events. Students need to clear their absences and tardies in Saturday School.

This year we have a reduction in office staff. Parents must report absences online through our Knox website. If you need to pick up your student from school for an appointment, please call ahead of time.

Promotion:

Save the date- May 27th at 4:30 pm (arrival and doors open) at Lincoln

Criteria coming soon for 8th grade students

Please see below for some more of our awesome activities from August at Knox.

Teacher Professional Learning:

Our teachers are starting their Action Research Projects related to Standards-based grading and learning. Our teachers work as teams to implement strategies for student reflections on learning, goal setting, progress tracking and more. Knox is on the path to being a Level 4 certified Marzano High-Reliability School.

Knox is the only school in SDUSD that is certified as a High Reliability Level 1,2, and 3 school.

Learn more about Marzano and high reliability schools here.
