Week of 4/1 Week of 4/1

Happy Friday! We had a fun week learning how we can get ready for 1st Grade!

  • In reading, we continued to read nonfiction books about different habitats and what the animals in those habitats eat. We focused on carnivores, herbivores and omnivores.

  • In math, we used manipulatives to subtract within 10. Students learned about using their fingers, ten frames, math racks, and counters.

  • For writing, we finished writing our informational stories about habitats and started to write about what a carnivore, herbivore and omnivore are.

Springtime Tea - Save the Date! Springtime Tea - Save the Date!

This is a special event for the students to honor their mother or one family member through a special presentation of springtime songs, and a time of eating and enjoying each other’s company.

The event will be on Friday May 3, 2024 in your child’s kindergarten classroom.

You can RSVP to the event NOW.

Please fill out the Google Form linked below by APRIL 21st.

Each classroom will hold their Mother’s Day Tea at a slightly different time. Please note the times above and plan to arrive at the school accordingly:

Things To Consider Things To Consider

  • Due to limited space, each Kindergarten student will be able to honor one adult at this event. Please arrange babysitting for younger siblings so this can be a special day for your kindergarten child. Feel free to send a relative or friend if you are unable to attend. We would like every child to have just one “special someone” in attendance. Our space is very limited so we appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

  • We will be serving Chips Ahoy, Oreo, Enjoy Life Cookies (allergy friendly) and Country Time lemonade at the tea. Please check these products online to see if your child has allergies, and if so, send an alternative snack for your child to enjoy.
