A huge thank you to our amazing PTA for organizing such a fun and festive Fall Festival. We also want to thank our room parents for coordinating the classroom booths, the families who donated prizes, and all the volunteers who helped make the event run smoothly. A special shout out to the Marines who joined us as volunteers; their teamwork, positivity, and willingness to help with every task made a tremendous difference. It was a wonderful night of community and celebration.

Is your child missing a jacket? A water bottle? Our Lost and Found is bursting at the seams with forgotten treasures. Please stop by and claim your long-lost items before it is gone forever! All unclaimed items will be donated at the end of the day on October 31st.

Keeping your children safe is Empresa’s top priority. Each month, our students and staff participate in safety drills such as fire, earthquake, and lockdown practices to ensure everyone knows what to do in an emergency.

Next Wednesday, November 5, at 12:45 p.m., we will hold a Lockdown Drill. During this drill, students will remain inside their classrooms and practice locking doors, turning off lights, and staying quiet. Teachers will guide students through each step and will discuss the importance of listening carefully, following directions, and remaining calm.

These drills are always conducted in a caring and reassuring way, helping students feel confident and prepared while understanding that the teacher’s job is to keep everyone safe.

No video today, thank you for cheering on our spooky sweet parade and celebrations. Our Knights looked amazing in their creative costumes and loved showing off their Halloween spirit. It was wonderful to see so many families lining the route, waving, and sharing in the fun. What a festive way to wrap up October at Empresa!

Students at Empresa are learning about connecting their school education to their

future career goals. Empresa teachers and school counselor, Miss Park, are teaching

the students about RIASEC. RIASEC is a career theory model based on six personality

and work environment types: Realistic, Investigative, Artistic, Social, Enterprising, and

Conventional. Developed by John Holland, it helps people match interests, skills,

and personalities to suitable career paths by classifying both people and occupations

into these six categories. Individuals are often a combination of two or three types, and

finding a strong fit between your personal code and a work environment can lead to

greater job satisfaction and success.

Questions/Discussion to have with your child(ren):

1. What are your interests or what are things you like to do?

2. Do you know what kind of job you would like to have when you become an adult?

3. Can learning at school help you get the job you would like to have?

4. Could you find out information about the job you would like to have by looking up

information about that job, talking to a person who has that job, and watching a

person do their job?

5. Can I (parent/guardian) help you with anything you need help with at school?
