Dublin Jerome High School
DEC. 5 | EMBRACE THE JOURNEY | WEEK 8, QTR. 2
Weekly Message
Good afternoon!
We have 6 more regular school days before exam week. Please check in with your child to make sure they are in a good space. You can check grade progress in Infinite Campus and a parent tip that I use is have your child log in to Schoology to see what they are working on. Always helpful.
Thank you and if you have any specific questions, please feel free to reach out.
Have a great weekend!
Mike
THE MAIN THINGS!
1. Semester Exam Logistics
Who takes exams: Exams are for year-long courses only.
Attendance: Students are only expected to attend school during their scheduled exam times. They may arrive late or leave early if they have a study hall or a semester-long course.
Supervision: Study areas with supervision will be available for students who wish to remain on campus during gaps in their schedule.
Exceptions: A teacher or administrator will contact the family directly if a student is required to stay for specific reasons.
Exam Attendance Procedures (Infinite Campus): Please help us manage attendance by following these guidelines:
Arriving Late: You DO NOT need to enter this into the IC Portal.
Example: Student has a Study Hall Mod 1-2 and arrives for an Algebra Exam Mod 3-4.
Leaving Early: Please SUBMIT the departure time in the IC Portal.
Example: Student finishes Chemistry Exam Mod 5-6 and leaves before Study Hall Mod 7-8.
Sick/Absent: Please SUBMIT the absence in the IC Portal.
2. Reminder: Closed Campus Policy We have noticed an increase in students leaving the building for lunch. Please remember that DCS does not have an open lunch policy. Students are not permitted to leave campus during the day unless they are attending Emerald Campus, Tolles, or other approved academic programming.

Struggling to find an unforgettable gift for the student in your life? Skip the gadgets and clothes this year and give them the world! The DCS Global Travel Program offers an incredible opportunity: the gift of global experience, cultural immersion, and lifelong memories. Imagine the look on their face when they unwrap a certificate for a journey to Italy, Ecuador, South Africa, or Japan. These teacher-led trips are not just for fun, but as powerful extensions of the classroom. Students explore historical sites, practice languages, and personally witness concepts they've read about. Learn more about the program and trips being offered in 2026 and 2027 here.
