GW Happenings
We are off to a wonderful start at GW, and our students have already made us so proud! Families, you are an important part of that success, from helping your children arrive at school on time to making sure dismissal plans are submitted and up to date. Most importantly, thank you for trusting us with your children each day. We know that watching your “babies” walk through our doors takes a great deal of trust, and we are so grateful that you place that trust in our incredible GW staff to care for, teach, support, and keep your children safe throughout the school day. We are truly grateful to begin another wonderful year together!
Afternoon Bus Procedures
If you are not at the bus stop when your child’s bus arrives, the driver will wait momentarily and then continue along the route. The bus will not return, and you will need to drive to school to pick up your child.
Even if your child’s stop is at or near your home, a parent/guardian must come outside to meet the bus, as the driver needs to see the adult before releasing the student.
We appreciate your flexibility during the first two weeks of school as we work to establish efficient routes and routines. Your cooperation helps us get all of our students home safely and on time.
