Secondary School Update

ROCORI Families:
Please see the below information that clarifies some changes to passes.
ATTENDANCE UPDATES
Pass System Changes: Paper passes are being phased out in favor of the updated Skyward system for efficiency.
Excusing Students: Parents can continue to excuse absences via a written note, the Skyward portal, or a phone call and ensure their student is aware of the release time.
Student Responsibility: Students should know the time they need to leave for an appointment. Teachers will see the scheduled time directly in Skyward and excuse them automatically.
In-School Communication: If you forget to inform your student of their departure time, send them a direct email. Call the office as a backup if they miss the message.
SECURE ENTRANCE
Last year we transitioned to a "doorbell" system at our main entrance. If you need to enter school during the day please come in door one. On the right wall you will see a doorbell and camera. Please let our attendance administrative assistant know what business you have and we will welcome you to the building.
Thanks for your help keeping our building safe and secure.
