Your child should be tired tonight because we had so much fun at Field Day! All students also got to watch the staff inflatable race before Field Day began, since we met our goal on the Painless Fundraiser in the Fall!

Ms. Grillo, your MES librarian, here with a quick reminder about two awesome apps for kids that they have access to through Classlink - Beanstack and Sora!

Beanstack is an online reading log where students log their reading minutes and can be entered for fun prizes and parties individually and as a class here in the library. Here is a video tutorial if you need a refresher on how to use Beanstack at home.

Sora is our district's online library where students can check out two additional ebooks or audiobooks at a time, in addition to their MES library books and have access to wherever they have a device. See video tutorial on how to use Sora here.

A shout-out to our Volunteer of the Month for March: Melanie Pene! Not only does she come help our PTO Hospitality with the Woo-Hoo Wagon, she also plays a crucial role in volunteering her time to serve as a parent representative on our LPAC Committee. You may also have known her as "Sheriff" during the Kinder Rodeo! Thank you, Melanie, for all you do for MES!

Yearbooks for 2024-2025 are on sale now! You can purchase via balfour.com. Flyers have been sent home with students and more will be sent home after Spring Break. We also need parents to submit pictures via the ImageShare app. Please see the flyer below for instructions.

Please note, this is a summer yearbook, meaning it will not be done for students to take home at the end of the year. If you order a yearbook for your child, they will receive it when they return to school in August 2025.

Good luck to our 4 TEAM artists: 5th graders Amelia Sauceda, Maxmillian Monahan, Amanda Ramirez, and Zaidee Suarez! Our talented group will be participating in a Texas Elementary Art Meet along with regional schools in the state of Texas. Their art will be judged on originality, expressive process, and for the student's literary based on the standards of TEKS. Congratulations on your art journey! Your confidence and knowledge of art is evident through your creative process! Mrs. Almaraz and our MES community are all so proud of you!

We're excited to introduce this year's main fundraiser, the Murchison Mustang Stampede. Our goal this year is to raise $40,000 for an outdoor play space and instructional technology to benefit ALL students at Murchison Elementary.

We’re excited for this fundraising experience because it offers 3 important things to our school community:

1️⃣ User-friendly fundraising platform

2️⃣ Character enrichment program

3️⃣ Fitness-focused event that includes ALL of our students

As a family, you will work together asking friends and family to donate on your student’s Donation Page at MyBooster.com. The best part is, you can still support our school just by SHARING about the fundraiser!

Students will also experience an amazing character enrichment program called “Castle Quest”, teaching students about how to be brave and live with character.
