Around the Halls
Freshman Honors Physical Science — Barista Lab Edition! These curious students are trading Starbucks for beakers as they learn to be baristas. They’re brewing coffee to explore metric conversions, master scientific equipment, and practice science safety. Delicious science, coming right up!
Mrs. Cleaver’s 6th graders went head-to-head in a Fantasy Vocabulary Draft—‘rostering’ their best words and showing off their language skills!
Lila C., a student in Mr. Stahley’s Made to Market class, has been perfecting her latte recipe with the goal of starting a coffee shop. The class gives students the opportunity to design a product, market it, sell it, and track revenue—simulating the experience of running a small business.
CCP Introduction to Education students visited our English 9 Lab students to assist in editing argumentative essays by forming small groups and providing feedback. Students were coached to rework thesis statements, amplify word choice, and evaluate their use of evidence.
Students read the short story “The Most Dangerous Game” and created a map of the island based on the text. Alongside their drawings, they listed key plot events to demonstrate how these moments build suspense and reveal characterization. This activity encouraged close attention to detail, particularly when visualizing and planning the layout of the island.
Mr. Stahley's UC Early IT Computer Networking class baked pizza to learn the functions of the networking application layer during their Pizza Packet Delivery activity. Students learned how clients and servers work together with DNS services to deliver HTML via the HTTP protocol.
CCP biology students are using their knowledge of biochemistry to solve a forensics case! What was the victims last meal?
The junior class is gearing up for Homecoming Week—get ready to see some amazing hallway decorations!
