Coach Stephanie would like to announce and congratulate this season's girls basketball team: Toni Jules, Ramya Cole, Millie Von Tless, Vanesmig Perez, Brielle Van Krik, Spencer Smith, and Thomaya Campbell!
Practices will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:50-5:15 PM on December 17 and 19, and then will resume after break, January 7 through February 11. REMINDER: Transportation is NOT provided; students must have a ride after practices and to and from games. Parents, please arrive on time to pick up your athletes. The IPS Volunteer Application is now re-opened. Parents and Guardians must apply through this IPS website and watch their emails for further steps in the background check process. Don't throw those old holiday lights and/or extension cords in the trash! Bring them into school and donate them to the Can Lady for recycling! She has raised over $7,000 with her recycling efforts this year, and is aiming for $10,000! Recycling cans and lights at Sidener helps the environment and supports the Can Lady in purchasing supplies and items for our classrooms.
Do your kids like chess? Are they interested in finding out? Chess is a great tool to teach decision making, mathematical reasoning and logic. The locally-famous Learning Through Games Group Has coached many state championship schools in Indiana. However, they are mostly known for the fun and child-friendly style of teaching. Great for all levels of play!
