CUSD Newsletter

Good Afternoon, CUSD,

We made it to May! With only five weeks left of school, our calendars are full of activities and celebrations.

Next week we will be celebrating Staff Appreciation Week across the district. In CUSD, we choose to honor our Certificated and Classified staff together, recognizing that it takes our entire professional ecosystem, working in harmony, to empower our students. Thank you to our amazing colleagues for their dedication to our students - and thank you to our families for your support of staff through volunteering with our PTOs, ISF, CSF, Band & Choir Boosters, CoSA Foundation and so many others. It truly takes a Village!

Next Friday and Saturday (5/8 & 9) our talented CoSA Dance students will be on stage for their spring performance, Moments Suspended, a collection of original dance works that observes and honors the present moment, and celebrates the artistic achievements of this year’s graduating seniors. See the flyer below for details and tickets.

Have a wonderful weekend

Respectfully,

Karl J. Mueller

Superintendent

As our educators, parents, and community come together to connect, challenge, and champion our students, we are humbled by the outpouring of compliments. What a positive testament to our CUSD family!

• Savannah is an outstanding Senior Class President; she has gone above and beyond to keep senior parents informed this year. I greatly appreciate Savannah's hard work. Thank you, Savannah!
• Maylen Sullivan, Andrea Lopez Garcia, Ashley Harris, Alexandra Heath, Cynthia Gifford, Megan Battle: Thank you to the amazing CUSD World Language staff for organizing and hosting such an incredible event for the District! What a wonderful celebration you all put on. I am grateful that my daughter and family could be a part of this tradition. Thank you for celebrating culture and connections!

Click here to recognize an employee or volunteer who goes above and beyond to make a difference. Those who are "caught" will receive a copy of the positive words that were shared about them and a "Caught Being Awesome" decal. Please take a minute or two to brighten someone else's day!
