Happy February! As we move into the second month of the year, I am excited to share with you the wonderful events and activities happening at our school:
Black History Month
February is Black History Month, a time to celebrate and honor the contributions and achievements of African Americans throughout history. Our classrooms will engage in meaningful lessons, discussions, and activities to recognize the importance of this month. Be sure to ask your child about what they are learning and how we are fostering inclusivity and cultural awareness at school.
Character Trait of the Month: Gratitude
This month, we are focusing on gratitude as our Choose Love character trait. Gratitude helps us appreciate the kindness of others and recognize the positives in our lives. Teachers will incorporate gratitude activities in their lessons, and we encourage you to talk with your children about what they are thankful for. Let’s work together to foster this important value!
Spring Picture Day: February 18th
Mark your calendars! Spring Picture Day will take place on Tuesday, February 18th. This is a great opportunity for students to capture a special memory of the school year. More details will be sent home soon, including ordering information.
5th Grade Camp
We are thrilled to announce that our 5th graders will attend camp at the end of this month! This enriching experience provides students with opportunities for growth, teamwork, and outdoor learning.
TK/Kindergarten Enrollment Fair: February 26th & 27th
Do you have a little one ready to start Transitional Kindergarten or Kindergarten? Join us for our TK/K Enrollment Fair on Wednesday, February 26th, and Thursday, February 27th. This event will provide families with an opportunity to learn about our programs, and complete enrollment. We look forward to welcoming our future students and families to the school community!
