Principal's Message
Assalamu Alaikum!
Dear NISL Families,
Alhamdulillah, we have had a very exciting and productive 3rd week of school at NISL!
Almost all students have now completed their i-Ready Diagnostic Assessment as well as other academic screeners. These important tools help us better understand each student’s needs so we can identify areas of priority and grouping for instruction, identify students who need interventions, and support their overall growth. Our 8th grade and high school students volunteered at the Kentucky State Dawah Booth this week. We are so proud of them for representing our school, earning reward for dawah, and giving back to the community.
The Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) is excited to launch the Room Parent Program for the 2025–2026 school year. Room Parents help bridge communication between teachers, families, and the PTO, while also supporting classroom events and activities.
Room Parent responsibilities include:
Assisting with class events and activities
Helping teachers with classroom needs
Sharing PTO updates and volunteer opportunities with other parents
We encourage all interested parents to consider this role! It's a wonderful way to stay engaged in your child’s school life and help build our NISL community.
Sign up for the PTO and Room Parent Program here: Room Parent Volunteer Form
You can also get to know our PTO by reviewing the PTO Welcome Packet (attachment)!
Jazakum Allahu Khair for your continued support and partnership.
Sincerely,
Aisha Blagaia
