JRMS PTA is seeking professionals to join us at our third annual Career Day on March 19 from approximately 8:30 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. The event will highlight some of the infinite career possibilities available to our students. Last year nearly 30 professionals from various industries and sectors--ranging from fine arts and television to education, civil service and finance--shared stories and insights about their educational and career paths. The easiest way to help the PTA is to simply become a member. Don't have time to volunteer? No problem! We love our volunteers, but just by joining us, your membership dollars will help fund PTA staff grants, in-school assemblies, cultural programming, parent education, social and extracurricular events and so much more for our students, teachers and families. JRMS PTA has a few non-board positions remaining to be filled for this year. Our parent volunteers are vital to everything JRMS PTA does.These positions have a general playbook and you'll receive plenty of support from the Board--but we can't do it all. If you're looking for ways to get more involved but don't have a lot of time to spare, consider some of the positions below--better yet, get a friend to do it with you! Every week, students will have multiple opportunities to explore different activities and games led by our incredible, local Teachers along with our highly trained JBHS Youth Development Counselors under the direction of our Site Director. Redding Social Services would like to share information about a program called Healthy Savings, courtesy of United Way. It offers substantial discounts on qualifying grocery stores (such as Stop & Shop, Walmart, CVS, ACME, etc) and provides $10 each week towards fresh produce. Click on the flier for more details.
