🐝 Spelling Bee Season Is Here!
We’re excited to announce that our School-Wide Spelling Bee will take place on Wednesday, December 4th! Students in grades 3–5 will have the opportunity to showcase their spelling skills and compete for a chance to represent Liberty Point Elementary.
Before the big day, each classroom will hold its own Classroom Spelling Bee in November to determine who will advance to the school-wide competition.
📚 It’s time to study!
Students should begin reviewing the official word lists provided by their teachers. These lists are designed to help them prepare for both classroom and school-wide competitions.
Let’s get ready to spell!

Can you believe that it is October already?! Well, our scholars have been doing quite well for the first couple of months of school; however, we need them to be able to do their BEST! Their best can't be achieved without a little assistance from our parents and guardians. Don't forget to help them do their very best by making sure that they get their rest by going to bed at an appropriate time, eating healthier meals and snacks, spending extra time studying, and arriving to school on time and prepared. All of these things, as well as a few words of encouragement each morning, will help our scholars to always do their very best! GO PATRIOTS!!
Don't forget to join in on the fun 2025 Red Ribbon Week spirit week celebrations and help our scholars understand that while life may seem puzzling and challenging at times, it is better to solve life's problems with a clear mind and drug free lifestyle. Check out the flyer above for our celebration days and attire.
As October is National Bullying Prevention Month, the Counseling Dept. and the Discipline Team would like to thank you for your help in reminding our scholars the importance of kindness, respectfulness, and friendliness to one another. Just continue to remind them of how important it is that we keep Liberty Point Elementary School a safe and inclusive environment, conducive for all to learn.
We are proud to bring back our partnership with Chris180, one of the area's premiere mental health, child welfare and family service organizations, in empowering families and helping children overcome difficulties they may face. If you feel that your child may benefit from a deeper therapeutic interaction, please contact me for more information regarding their services for our scholars.
The Counselling Dept. and the Attendance Team would like to remind you the importance of having an exemplary attendance record. Absences and tardiness can affect the whole classroom if the teacher has to slow down learning to help children catch up. Attending school regularly helps children feel better about school—and themselves. Start building this habit so they learn right away that going to school on time, every day is important. Eventually good attendance will be a skill that will help them succeed in high school, college, and beyond.
Clicking here will take you to my webpage, which provides information about the counseling services at Liberty Point Elementary, as well as some resources you can use at home. Please check the webpage often as it is updated periodically to include new resources and information gathered throughout the school year.
If you would like to contact me, please feel free to send an email or call me directly at (470)254-9657.
"Here Comes The Bus App" is a free, easy-to-use website and app that enables you to see the location of your child’s school bus on a smartphone, tablet, or personal computer.
